West Long Branch National Night Out a Big success

WEST LONG BRANCH: The annual National Night Out kicked off at 5 on Tuesday with the WLB PD hosting the community event that serves to promote a community-building campaign that helps to bring about police-community partnerships and adds neighborhood camaraderie to the plusses.

The West Long Branch Community Center hosted the gathering - a friend to the community for all its years of serving- and the fire department, first aid and emergency teams were on hand to "get close to their neighbors, especially the kids" one first aid member said as they welcomed visitors to their table.

For the PD, led by Chief Paul Habermann, it was fun duty, an opportunity to have time to enjoy their town and other service teams in a place where the focus is on being together.

For Mayor Janet Tucci, there with her granddaughter, 6-year old Elle Tucci, she enjoyed being with the volunteers who serve the borough so well and steadfastly all the year. "This is w wonderful time to celebrate our police and volunteers, and to recognize all they do for west Long Branch."

And, oh yes, if any interest in the WLB PD Explorers get in touch with PO Kyle Szatkowski at (732) 229-5000.
