In a relatively quiet meeting on Feb. 28 the BOE reviewed traditional subjects, which this time were focused on more internal school matters. One item of possible public interest was the BOE guidance that the Director of Security and Emergency position report experience during the school year for the public's awareness, the report to be made by the end of the school year.
However, in one matter, the Shore Regional Little League will be able to use the District Baseball/Softball fields for practices and games.
The PTA is sponsoring its annual Fashion Show on March 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Jumping Brook Country Club with the theme of Havana Nights.
BOE Superintendent Tom Farrell shared that he had opportunity to visit during Special Persons Day and was delighted to see the joy on the faces of the students as they explained what they were learning and doing in school.
At the end of the meeting Farrell announced Assistant Superintendent Dr. Paul Christopher was sworn in to fill the position at Shore Regional BOE of Mrs. Marylynn Mango who has been elected to the borough council. He will complete her BOE term this year.
