West End Retail Churn Continues

Arcomano Opticians at 78 Brighton Ave. has closed.
A fish market is opening at 612 2nd Ave.
Freddy's, a shabbat market, has opened at 110B Brighton Ave.
Kansai Barber Shop is now open at 104 Brighton Ave.

The retail churn in Long Branch's West End continues as stores are still coming and going along Brighton Avenue and 2nd Avenue.

In the small group of businesses on the south side of Brighton Avenue just west of 2nd Avenue, two new businesses have opened; Freddy's, a kosher middle eastern store, and Kansai Barber Shop. These storefronts are constantly changing, so it will be interesting to see if these new businesses are able to establish themselves.

A fish market with a vegan chef and outdoor seating will soon be open in the former home of Rocky's Jersey Grill at 612 2nd Avenue. This location has also been a revolving door over the years with everything from pizza to Mexican cuisine, but a fish market seems like a unique idea for West End.

Arcomano Opticians, located at 78 Brighton Ave., has closed its doors after months of having a "for rent" sign in the window. Although the office is closed, there appeared to be some activity going on inside when we stopped over earlier this week.
