Some West Long Branch Shopping Center Tenants Reopen Stores

WEST LONG BRANCH: Three shops in the Carriage Square shopping center in the borough have reopened for business while others are not far behind.

An early November fire started in the roof of one of the stores and caused smoke damage to nearly every store in the shopping center located at 175 Monmouth Road.

According to a Facebook post by Tom Tvrdik, a general contractor and real estate agent with RE/MAX Gateway, Wall Street Construction, Anna's Flowers and Blue Moon Travel have all reopened.

Jersey Mike's is looking to open its doors on March 10 while Arts Embroidery and 2.50 Cleaners could also reopen this month.

Four business decided not to come back to shopping center including Berkenstock, which is now located in Little Silver, Des Jardin Martial Arts which moved to Eatontown, Jesus Book and Gift store which has a second location in Green Brook and One Main Financial which moved across the street.

Tvrdik has said two units are currently vacant and that RE/MAX Gateway will soon be advertising them for lease. He said anyone interested in renting them can contact him at 732-804-0944.
