An organ recital held at Sea Bright United Methodist Church this weekend will double as a chance for the public to see the plans for the new borough library.
The event is free and open to the public and will be held on Saturday, May 13 at 10 a.m. at the church located at 1104 Ocean Ave., Sea Bright.
There will be a organ recital by Don Carolina, refreshments courtesy of Strokers Deli in Shrewsbury, Richard's Deli in West End and Caputo's Bakery Shoppe in Long Branch.
Councilman Charles Rooney, architect Kevin Settembrino and special projects administrator Frank Lawrence will show off the plans for the library which will be located in the new Beach Pavilion which will be constructed later this year. The library is currently temporarily located in the church, but will be moved once the pavilion is completed.
A facepainter will be on hand to entertain children and and beach passes will be raffled for lucky attendees.
Rumor has it, Rooney will also be bringing along his famous chocolate-covered strawberries.
Those interested in attending should park in the municipal lot across the street. The event will be held rain or shine.
