The BeachWalk at Sea Bright motel is looking to make some changes this year.
The owners, doing business as Seabright Hospitality Group, LLC has applied to the Sea Bright Planning Board to demolish two buildings on their property located at 344 Ocean Ave.
They are seeking permission to demolish one existing motel building and one existing restaurant building, both of which front on Ocean Avenue. The demolished structures will be replaced with two new raised 3-story motel buildings. The remaining two buildings which include a motel and the tiki bar restaurant on the river side will remain.
In addition to site plan approval, the owners will also need D variances from the board for the proposed expansion of this pre-existing, non-conforming use and one for the proposed building height of 43, where a maximum height of 38 feet is permitted in the R-1 Zone.
The applicant will be before the board on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m.
