OCEAN TOWNSHIP: Even his busy schedule at this time of year allowed time for Santa to visit the Oakhurst firehouse with a bucket of candy canes for each child.
It was his annual visit and the weather was sunny, even if it was a bit chilly. Everyone was dressed warmly and ready for the delicious breakfast the Fire Department members had prepared for them;
Pancakes, egg, bacon, French Toast, Chocolate and coffee were there for Moms and Dads and of course the young ones, who did a good job of it.
Santa was happy to see all the youngster, more than 100 all together, and had a happy smile with his snow white beard and red tussled cap.
His friend the Polar bear had to leave early but he was there to help start the happy breakfasting.
Many of the youngsters were family of some of the fire safety members but it was a day for all townspeople.
