Police Arrest Man Who Barricaded Himself Inside Fox Chase Home

TINTON FALLS: Authorities have arrested a man who barricaded himself in his home on Bridle Path in the Fox Chase community in the borough on Tuesday, April 18.

Police searched the home and found the man, whose name has not yet been released, in the attic.

According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, the perimeter of the home was secured and there is no immediate threat to the community. There is no reason to believe there is anyone else in the home except the subject.

Members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, the Tinton Falls Police Department, the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office and members of the Monmouth County Emergency Response Team (MOCERT) and Monmouth County Rapid Deployment Force (RDF) responded to the scene.

Police first arrived on the scene around 8:30 a.m. and were on the scene until about 3 p.m. Traffic is now allowed in and out of the area.
