Ocean Township Bandshell Ribbon Cutting Set

  Email

A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new bandshell at Joe Palaia Park will be held on Sunday, July 30 from 5 to 7 p.m., according to Ocean Township Mayor Chris Siciliano.

Entertainment will be provided by Ocean Township's own Dave Krenkel and the Original Ridgerunners.

The 1-story, 1,700-square-foot bandshell is being built so that the back of the structure will face the road and the nearby neighborhood.

Both the town and outside groups will be allowed to hold events at the bandshell once it is completed, because its cost is partially paid through Green Acres funding. The bandshell will be able to accommodate small bands, poetry readings, movies, and small-scale theater productions.

Joe Palaia Park is located on the corner of Whalepond and Deal Road.
