Ocean Promotes Managing Water for All Our Needs

  Email

OCEAN TOWNSHIP: The Ocean Township Shade Tree and the Environmental Commissions are sponsoring a Going Green event at the library on Deal Road this Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 11:00 am 3:00 pm.

It is a great chance for residents in town and towns around to hear speakers talking about the importance of clean water and how to help yourself and neighbors support the concept of gracious living, Ocean's motto and goals.

As the Shade Tree volunteers have said," Water is an essential part of human life and managing water is important to our well-being in countless ways."

So here is your chance! Come and learn what local organizations are doing to manage water for our future health and safety, and what you can do to be part of the process.

Panelists will speak on:

Clean Water Action a Food and Water Watch

Master Gardeners of Monmouth County

Ocean Township Shade Tree Commission

Rutgers University

Ocean Township Sewage Authority

Light refreshments will be provided.

This program is free and open to the public. Registration is requested. But WOTS suggests "Just show up" .

For info check out www.monmouthcountylib.org or contact the Ocean Township Library at 732.531.5092.
