Long Branch Hosts Big Crowd for 18th Annual Cruise to the Jersey Shore Car Show

Long Branch:  The 18^th Annual Cruise To The Jersey Shore Car Show began in the wee hours of Sunday morning as a 1930 Model A Ford Coupe Convertible, a 1948 Chrysler Town and Country wood paneled station wagon, and a 1938 Plymouth Sedan – a “Miss Daisy” replica made their way among similar vehicles to the viewing spots along the boardwalk and on the Great Lawn.   More than 500 cars were on display for this year’s show, a delight to promoter Barry Stein from the City’s development offices. “We had to turn late comers away for public safety reasons,” Stein explained.

A full compliment of fire equipment was in tow for the show.  Check out the photos of LBFD’s 1880 Hose Reel from Atlantic Engine and Truck; the Hand Drawn Hose Reel from Neptune Hose No.1; and the 1880 Self-Acting Engine from Oceanic Engine and Truck.
