Lady Bucs Advance in States - Defeat Mon Regional

Little Silver: The Lady Bucs of Red Bank Regional were seeded #5 with a record of 10 - 6, in State Action on Monday afternoon they defeated the Lady Falcons of Monmouth Regional with a record of 5 -8.
Scoring started quickly by the Lady Bucs, when Murphy Davis scored her first of three goals at 21:33. In girls lacrosse there are 2, 25 minute halves. At 11:18, the Lady Falcons scored a goal which did not count; it was blocked by Lady Bucs #21 Maureen Sullivan.
The Lady Falcons took 12 shots on goal, picked up 7 ground balls, scoring 3 while goalie for The Lady Bucs, Mia Nelson recorded 9 saves. Mackenzie Kapuscienski scored 1 goal and Jenna Eustace scored 2.
For the Lady Bucs, senior, Clara Osmont, who will play lacrosse at High Point University in North Carolina, next year, scored 3 goals with 1 assist. Sophomore, Murphy Davis scored 3 goals with 1 assist. Abbey Gwydir and Kendall Sidun both chipped in with 2 goals each. Lauren Faherty and Stephanie Garley each added a goal for the Bucs, while Kendall Brennan also had an assist. The Lady Bucs had 22 shots on goal, picked up 23 ground balls and goalie for the Lady Falcons, Lissett Olivera recorded 10 saves.
The Lady Bucs will travel to Hopewell Valley on Thursday, to face #4 seed.
