Monmouth Beach Condo Fire Leaves Several Residents Homeless

MONMOUTH BEACH: Local crews battled and extinguished a condo fire in the borough early Tuesday morning, Dec. 19.

The 2-alarm fire was reported around 6 a.m. in Wharfside Manor, a 2-story condo complex located along Wharfside Drive in Monmouth Beach. It was extinguished about an hour later.

According to the Monmouth Beach Fire Company, units from Sea Bright, Long Branch and other mutual aid companies were called to the scene.

No word yet on any injuries or the severity of the damage to the building, but at least 12 people were left without homes according to social media posts.

Due to a structure fire, JCP&L has conducted a forced power outage affecting approximately 220 residences in the area, according to the Monmouth Beach Police Department.
