Washed out by Hurricane Irene last summer, Lyle Lovett, the man Esquire Magazine says has, “class, charisma and consistency,” is back! Once primarily known as a Texas country singer and songwriter, his work grows increasingly eclectic with each release. Folk, swing, blues, jazz and gospel are all integrated in his work.

His 13 albums have earned six Gold Records and produced seven Top 40 singles, songs like “Farther Down the Line,” “Cowboy Man,” “She’s No Lady,” “I Loved You Yesterday,” “If I Had a Boat,” and “I Married Her Because She Looks Like You,” plus “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” his duet with Randy Newman from the Toy Story soundtrack.

His four Grammy Awards include Best Country Album, Best Pop Vocal Collaboration, Best Country Performance by a Group with Vocal, and Best Country Vocal Performance, Male. His most recent release is Natural Forces (2009).
