This family classic tells the story of the relationship between British banker Mr. Banks, his wife, and their two "impossible" children. When Mr. Banks hires the mysterious and magical Mary Poppins as the children's new nanny, she immediately endears herself to the kids. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones she has a profound effect upon. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "anything can happen if you let it."

The musical first opened on Broadway in 2006, after being performed at the West End in 2004. Laura Michelle Kelly won the Olivier Award for her role as Mary Poppins in 2005, and once on Broadway, the show was nominated for seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Vibrant Mary teaches the Banks children lessons of life, love, and music through some of the most memorable songs such as "Spoonful of Sugar," "Let's Go Fly a Kite," and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."

Full of classic tunes from the stage and film, extraordinary performances, and exciting choreography, MARY POPPINS is a timeless and heartwarming musical the whole family to enjoy. It's sure to be a "Jolly Holiday!"

Director Todd Aikens, winner of the 2014-15 Basie Award for Best Direction of a Musical, is enjoying his 7th season of leadership with Shore Players. He is best known for his affiliation with the hit musical Grease (Mr. Aikens toured nationally as the slick, fast-talking disc jockey, Vince Fontaine). Mr. Aikens is also a Shore Players alum. Rounding out the production staff of Mary Poppins are Asst. Director, Lindsay Wood, Choreographer Tara Eccles-Frye, Music Director Dr. Jeff Unger, and Producer, Randee Skloff.

Shore Players Presents Mary Poppins, March 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 & 26 - Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00PM and Sundays at 2:00PM.
