While the media center was buzzing with purchase activity, students showed off their artwork throughout the school to proud parents, grandparents, siblings and friends. Adorning the walls were antique maps, Japanese lanterns, animation cels, masks and paper sculptures and so much more. More than 1,000 pieces of art created by the students in grades 5-8 adorned the hallways for the annual show. Shifts of parent volunteers gave up countless hours to help hang the works of art.
O/A seals (Outstanding Artwork) could be seen sprinkled throughout the projects. Refreshments were served and the School Chamber Ensemble and Jazz Band both performed.
On Tuesday morning the 8th grade mask projects will be moved to the Wells Fargo branch on Prospect Avenue in Little Silver, where voting will begin. Stop in and vote for your favorite mask. Votes for the top 3 masks will win that student a $25 U.S. Savings bonds from the bank for their project.Read more from: Top Stories
