LB Rotary Holiday - Membership Feast
|
Long Branch: “Holidays are good times to get together, relax with friends and meet new ones,” according to Long Branch Rotary Club president Len Kiczek. All members were invited and asked to bring a spouse, friend or “significant other” to the annual holiday gala. It was held at Johnny Pinecone’s on Broadway , the upstairs dining room, a perfect spot.
More than 40 showed up and following Len’s “instructions”, well let's just say, several newcomers were welcomed.

The Rotary motto of “Service Before Self” guides the club’s purpose and actions as they support community and individual programs such as providing scholarships, running food collections, lending hands to ocean cleanups, and supporting events like the NJ Marathon which raises financial aid for charities. “And we also have a time for friendships, business relations, and socializing,” Kiczek said.
For those in the community who want to know more or to join, the club meets each Friday at 12:15 p.m. at Rooney’s Restaurant on the Boardwalk. For info call Ken Gittell at 732-539-3077.
