Latest Long Branch Oceanfront Project Shaping Up

Work is progressing on one of the many oceanfront residential projects in Long Branch's Beachfront South redevelopment zone.

Mark Built Properties has been given approval to build a 7-story building on the former Cabana Club property with 57 units of 1- and 2-bedroom housing. The Cabana Club was a bar and restaurant, located at 310 Ocean Ave., which closed in 2013 and has been sitting vacant since that time.

The property will also feature 128 parking spaces and amenities consisting of a community room, exercise room, pool, patios, walkways and cabanas as well as a 50-foot landscape buffer located along Ocean Boulevard.

The foundation is up and workers were pouring concrete at the site this weekend.
