Long Branch:WATT a night at Festival Plaza, Pier Village in Fun City - Long Branch. And SO WATT, the band, made the night. A full 90 minutes of continuous rhythm and song, oldies and newbies - the audience and on the stage.
Warm air was the theme and a smooth Atlantic Ocean breeze made it so nice to sit back in your folding lounge or stretched on the lawn grass.
Familiar faces and new smiles cozied the several hundred person audience, some even were on the beach sand watching waves and enjoying the sounds from the boardwalk.
Once in a while a blue shark rolled over a wave crest, diving seemingly at the fun of it.
The musicians are most talented, well-rehearsed and adding a comfy exchange with the fans as they kept a lively pace of ear pleasing, feet rousing rock and jazzy harmony.
Some are locals, Ocean and Allenhurst, and known to the dancing couples. The feature singer was Sally James, who is a local now but years back came to the U.S. from Japan where she grew up. What a voice, wow, and WATT a voice. They will be at Porta in Asbury next, so keep a look out.
