Jersey Shore Elite Football Camp starts training early with kids from 1st through 8th grade

Red Bank:  Count Basie Field was the setting and this weekend was perfect for football.  The humidity and temperature dropped from the sweltering levels of last week.  Rick Brandt, Camp Director for Jersey Shore Elite Football Clinic brought together kids from 1st through 8th grade for his annual football clinic on the turf in Red Bank.   With lower humidity and seasonal temps these "campers" and their trainers enjoyed this 2-day event.

Joining Rick were local Jersey Shore high school players who went on to play college football - among them Darryl Jackson from Red Bank Regional HS and Jared Chunn from Monmouth Regional HS.  The instructors worked on fundamentals with the kids to improve their game.  The campers walked away from the 2 day clinic with a “Skills & Drills” manual to help them work on their game before the new season begins.

There were autographed pictures and prizes to be won.   Many local sponsors helped to make the community-based clinic a great success.  Sponsors included:  Gianni’s, Athlete’s Alley, Prown’s and Rumson-Fair Haven Bank & Trust.  Rick Brandt commented, “The 2012 Jersey Shore Elite Football Clinic could not have been any better.  The kids had a blast!"

And WORDontheShore has heard that Rick will be expanding his camps in the future.   Great news for the sports-minded kids looking to learn from some of the best.
