OCEAN: Firefighters battled a blaze at Posilippo's, a restaurant located at 1647 Highway 35, for several hours on Wednesday morning.
The fire started around 4:20 a.m. on March 26 and was reportedly brought under control by 7:30 a.m. by members of the Oakhurst, Wanamassa and Wayside Fire Companies.
The cause and origin of the fire are currently unknown and are being investigated by the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office, Oakhurst District 1 Fire Marshal and Ocean Township Police Detective Sgt. John Green.
Several roads around the restaurant, which is located near Talmage Street, were closed to traffic for hours, but were all reopened as of noon, according to the Ocean Township Police Department.
The restaurant, which was "completely damaged" according to the Ocean Township Police, was formerly known as Los Caminos De Don Chucho, a Mexican restaurant.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
