Eatontown Route 35 Paving Now Set For Spring 2017

EATONTOWN: The paving of Route 35 is now scheduled for the spring of 2017, according to Eatontown Mayor Dennis Connelly.

Borough Engineer Ed Herrman has said the county state paving project originally scheduled for this summer had been pushed back to next year. Connelly said he spoke with Scott Stephens of the New Jersey Department of Transportation (DOT) who confirmed that the work will officially begin in 2017.

The state highway will be repaved from Wyckoff Road north to the Shrewsbury/Red Bank area.

Connelly said the paving is needed and said there are many areas where potholes have been filled in that are still causing problems.

He said he also the engineer will be in contact with Stevens so the DOT can address some of the problematic areas before the paving takes place.
