OCEAN TOWNSHIP: The Easter Bunny hopped to the firehouse on Larkin Place in Oakhurst on Sunday morning, April 2, and took the special chair at the front of the meeting room. He brought a basket of lollipops to give to children who visited for breakfast. It is a tradition the Oakhurst Fire Department for many years, as long as most can remember.
The Bunny was ready for lap-sitting, with bunny whiskers and magnificent long ears. Most visiting sat with the bunny before eating the scrumptious breakfast of juice, eggs, pancakes and sausage. The fire department hosts served with smiling faces and happy welcomes
Moms and dads enjoyed the visit as much as the children, and the breakfast also. The families came from all the town, and some from other towns as visitors to local families, on Easter visits.
