Deal 5K and Trick or Trot Doubles the Fun

DEAL: The Jersey Shore Running Club and the Deal Fire Department have combined the Deal 5K and the Trick or Trot 5K into one heck of a good time at the Deal Casino. The runner costumes added an overall amusement to the traditional Deal event, some Halloween fun for the day.

Jeff Propert of Wall took the men's win in 16 minutes, 41 seconds, followed by Tom Phillips of Spring Lake. For the women, Kerry Dyke, a Rutgers student finished in third place overall and First Woman with a very fast run of 17:47, an eye opener for the crowd waiting at the Finish Line.

Third male was Seng Goh of Ocean with a decent and predictable run. Second woman was Amber Hart from Asbury Park in the overall 6th slot. Inez Crismali from East Windsor was Third woman. The photo is of the six shown in finish order from right to left viewing the picture with this article.

Prizes went to other finishers by age and with medals also for the costumed runners who made up about 1/3 of those dressed for the run. Pets also played the Halloween runway of style, with costumes like their owners, some even more entertaining.
