EATONTOWN: A new CVS will be constructed on Route 35 in the borough.
The Eatontown Planning Board granted site plan approval to First Hartford Realty Corporation during its March 6 meeting; clearing the way for the applicant to build a CVS at the corner of Route 35 and Tinton Avenue. The pharmacy will replace an Exxon gas station which is currently open but would be closed and demolished
The building will be approximately 14,698 square feet and the property will include lighting, signage and landscaping to service the development. Sixty eight parking spaces will be created for the property and a pharmacy drive-thru also will be located in the rear of the building.
Eatontown Mayor Dennis Connelly said there will be two entrances to the site; one one Tinton Avenue and one on Highway 35. No left turns will be allowed from Route 35 northbound into the highway entrance.
The closest CVS is located down the road in the Shrewsbury Plaza.
