OCEAN TOWNSHIP: The musical production of Cole Porter's "Anything Goes" got rave reviews on its opening night.
The audience exiting the theater was very happy, appreciative and overwhelmed with the terrific performance. The interviews of the audience were more than positive.
"Awesome" was the most frequent term used as they flowed through the exit hallway at Ocean High School with excitement buzzing loudly through the crowd.
"Great" was the next most frequent term. "Really good" and "Excellent" were next. "All of it was great" said a smiling OTHS parent with her young student in tow.
For this WotS reviewer the show was wonderful.
All the audience comments put together just about captures my thoughts. The singing was most impressive, voices clear, strong, beautifully phrased. The dancing members were expertly performed with emphasis on the amazing timing and overall choreography that created the aura of delight the players must have felt as they pleased the viewers of all ages.
The recommendation of this reviewer is to not miss it and that you will leave happy, thrilled, amazed.
The upcoming schedule is a 7 p.m. show on Friday, and a 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. show on Saturday, April 1. Take your partner, your kids, their grandparents and anyone who enjoys great theater. They will thank you for it.
