EATONTOWN: Another restaurant in the borough has closed its doors.
Houlihan's, located at 308 Highway 35 has served its last meal as of Valentine's Day. The restaurant, which features a large menu of pub fare, pasta and steaks, has been open for years in the borough.
The reason behind the decision to shutter the business is unknown as the company has not announced any plans to close its restaurants.
The closest Houlihan's to Eatontown are located on Route 35 in Holmdel and Route 70 in Brick.
The restaurant is latest borough eatery to close over the last two years.
Last summer, Sawa on Route 36 unexpectedly closed and in the fall, Apella Greek Taverna on the corner of Route 35 and Clinton Avenue closed suddenly as well.
