OCEAN TOWNSHIP: The annual fun of the Italian Festival of Ocean Township returns to Joe Palaia Park with amusement rides, music and Italian-American delights from Aug. 9-13.
The festival is organized by the Italian American Association of the Township of Ocean (IAATO). It annually attracts over 100,000 people with a taste for traditional Italian foods and wholesome family fun. Patrons can take in some free concerts, or buy from food trucks and vendors specializing in Italian American foods such as pizza and zeppoles. There's also other vendors, local organizations, 50/50 drawings and of course amusement rides.
The fun kicks off at 5 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 9 with a performance by Taylor Tote. She will be followed by Time Piece on Thursday, Lights Out on Friday, Dominic Riccio on Saturday and the West End Dogs on Sunday.
There will be a fireworks display on Friday night, Aug. 11 at 9:30 p.m.
Admission is free and discounted family ticket ride packages are available every night of the festival.
