10th Annual Fifth Grade Science Fair Draws Big

Ocean Township: This past week, the Ocean Township Intermediate School held the 10th annual fifth-grade science fair. Assistant principle, Chris Amato along with PTA representative JoAnne Angioletti, and Susan English organized and oversaw the event.

Select fifth grade students designed, developed, and created science based projects, dioramas, and demonstration pieces based on: sports science and nutrition, the properties of magnets, making rainbows, solid and liquid density, environmental concerns, dinosaurs, osmosis, the impact of concussions, the principles of electricity, light, color, and heat, how to make slime, creating your own lava lamp, and pickle power.

Slideshow: Unable to locate selected file folder.

The show ran from 7:00 to 8:30pm. During that time approximately 100 friends, family, and students came out to see the science demonstrations and to view the dioramas.
